Louie completed his first science experiment for school. Well, due to the topic and his confused parents we more or less all completed it together. The topic was Kelp because when it was time to choose we were in CA for Christmas and thought it would be neat to select a sea related experiment that other students may not be able to do. Will Kelp live longer in moving water or still water? We collected samples, had some leaks in our van, conducted the experiment over two weeks, etc. In the end it was giant pain because it was harder than expected to follow the scientific method methodically while using a third graders vocabulary. In the end it all worked out, the board looked awesome, and he received 198 out 200 possible points. Good learning experiment for us all! Oh, and the answer is in moving water.
