Last week at the Granville Spirit and Pride Assembly Louie was awarded Student of Month for October 2009! As he was presented his certificate Principal Greene read a message from his teacher, Mrs. Jonovich: "Louie is an excellent student. He tries his hardest at his work and always turns in his homework. Louie is very friendly and well liked by everyone." Mrs. Greene added a comment of her own, "And I know Louie very well because he often stops in the office to say hello and good morning. He is a sweetheart."
We also got Louie's first report card of first grade this week. Louie's best scores (O+) were in homework and timed fact/math assessment. He got a total of 18 O's for outstanding and got six S's for satisfactory. Louie is doing well with his reading but does not like to be timed when reading. Phonograms are a bit confusing as well, but they even are for me! Comment on his report card read: "It is really nice to have Louie in class. He always tries to do his best. He is polite and kind to others and is well liked!"
We are so proud of Louie! He has an awesome balance of academic skills and a kind-hearted personality!
